To be recognized as “specialty" a coffee must pass very rigorous tests: the evaluation by a Q-Grader in this process is crucial.
In just six days, the Q Arabica grading program can help anyone progress in their sensory abilities, regardless of how long they work in the sector, thanks to the tasting of a multitude of coffees that differ in origin and processing.
The week from December 13th to 18th is divided into 3 days of high theoretical training which prepares you to face the following 3 days of sensory tests and tasting.
The skills that will be addressed during the training days and certified with practical tests concern:
Students who pass the 20 tests receive the Q grader license which can be renewed every 3 years by attending a "Q Grader calibration": a day of sensory tests that verify the maintenance of your level of preparation.
