During the online lesson you can interact with the trainer as in the classroom, but safety: ask your questions through voice or chat.
We will send you some coffee samples, useful to perform the practical part live under the guide of the trainer Alberto Polojac.
Please note that the practical part is not examined.
At the end of the lesson, in addition to the usual Q&A session which resolves all your doubts, the trainer will send you all the slides used during the course.
To obtain your certification we will send you the theory exam with some questions about what you have learned during the Green Coffee course.

The Green Coffee Foundation course of the Specialty Coffee Association is designed to introduce the main aspects of green coffee that precede roasting: planting, growing, harvesting, processing, exporting and storage.
During the SCA Green Foundation course the differences between Arabica and Canephora (Robusta) will be clarified as regards the taste, the visual aspect and the economic value.
The historical origin of the two species and their diffusion in the cultivation areas enclosed between the two Tropics will also be investigated.
A very important part of the SCA Green Foundation Course concerns the processing methods of coffee drupes, from the moment of collection through the process of separating the seeds from the fruit through the different processing methods: Natural, Washed, Pulped Natural, Honey.
Key concepts of the selection and control of green coffee (green grading) and the qualitative evaluation of coffee through cupping will be introduced, focusing attention on the different perceptions that distinguish the processing of coffee or the different species in tasting.
The student who participates in the SCA Green Foundation Course has an overview of the classification of green coffee in the various producer countries based on the size, density and number of defects present in a sample and on the functioning of the green coffee market, transport to producing countries and optimal conservation during storage.
